A Survey of
Chemistry is an interactive, multimedia computer software program. It is a
complete chemistry course on a CD. The software contains the same material you
would find in any introductory chemistry class. This user
friendly chemistry software will be of great help to any college, high
school, or home-school chemistry student. The program
comes on a compact disc (CD) and is published by Ries Software. It is a
sophisticated piece of chemistry software, but is offered for the incredibly
low price of $49 (including tax, shipping and handling). The software covers much of the material of an introductory college chemistry or high school chemistry class. The computer program contains 15 chapters that cover the fundamental concepts of the science of chemistry. Each chapter contains a tutorial section and a practice problems section. The user needs no background in chemistry or science. |
The
tutorial section of the software uses text, audio clips, video and animations
to help introduce the concepts of chemistry. The tutorial section of the
software also includes interactive chemistry exercises to help reinforce new
concepts. The
practice problems section of the software helps gives the student a chance to
practice the newly acquired skills. The chemistry problems are interactive
and offer helpful suggestions when incorrect information is entered. The
practice problems section contains a "Review" button that gives a
brief explanation of how a similar chemistry problem should be worked and
then returns the student to the current problem. |
